Rock Boxes remind Clevelanders that the city was built on Rock & Roll. The colorful welded aluminum boxes are distributed in downtown Cleveland to create a sound experience as pedestrians’ travel towards the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Each hour, like church bells, the Boxes are synchronized digitally to blast snippets of Hall of Fame inductees. Each box has an inductee year laser cut into the back as a reminder of the men and women who sculpted the sounds of Rock and Roll.
