Riverside Park
Location: Chagrin Falls, OH
Status: Design
Collaborators: Earthscape
Project Overview: Chagrin Falls owes its status as a major manufacturing center to the power of the river. Founded in 1833, the town quickly developed nine dams on the Chagrin River, which enabled it to produce goods for domestic use and export across the country and around the world. The Chagrin River has been pivotal to the establishment and growth of Chagrin Falls, and the village's identity and character are intimately linked to this distinctive natural feature. At Riverside Park, Mark Reigelman draws inspiration from the dynamic visual contrast between the region's historic architecture and the surrounding natural environment to create a seamless and exciting play experience.
